2008 Exhibition

Are you going loco?.........well you’ve come to the right place to feast your eyes on the mini marvels we have on display this weekend.  I’m sitting here in front of my computer and it’s 27°C outside and I wonder what sort of weather it’s going to be in October.  If it’s cold, why not put on your “Winter Overcotes” in order to get “Warm-ington”!

With only two and a bit months to go until Christmas (and if you think it being mentioned in October is early, bear in mind that I am writing this in July!) you may be looking for Christmas gifts.  Why not visit our traders  and  buy something for “That Dam Railway”?  We have a mix of traders for ready-to-run (RTR), kits, scenery, tools and electrical and for those times when you just don’t fancy modelling we have book & DVD sellers as well.  If you are having a problem with a model, or perhaps you would like some hints or tips on modelling, why not visit our demonstration stand (stand 9).

We would like to thank our sponsors – Hornby and Fleischmann for their considerable support both this year and in past years. Also we would also like to extend our thanks to Cheriton Motorcycles, Fullicks of Cheriton, Wills Garage, Applej-ax of Hythe and Shepherd Neame for their support this year.

Should you need any help or information at the exhibition please come and meet one of our club members at the information stands (stands 4 & 52), you can also try your luck at the tombola or maybe you would like to enter our raffle for one of three Hornby prizes...tickets are priced at £1 each and the results will be announced on Sunday afternoon. In addition you can also collect a form for the “Best Layout”, which allows you to select your favourite layout from the show.  The winner will also be announced on Sunday afternoon.  And finally, before you leave please take some time to write your comments in our comments book - there are two books, one located on each information stand.

Keep up to date with news on next year’s exhibition by logging onto our new website: www.folkestone-mrc.com or you can also visit our club website at: www.geocities.com/fhdmrc
